2013 Goals for Our Home

My word for the year is “Focus”, so in order to help myself “Focus” in all areas of my life, I find it best to slow down for a moment and take stock of what needs my attention. If you were to spend any time with me at all, you would know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I am a To-Do List making fool. I mean, I seriously love a good To-Do List (honestly, they make me giddy). A good To-Do List does so much for you, it lets you know what you need to get done, helps you figure out what you need to complete your task and then best part is checking that item off your list. At the end of it all, a list helps you Focus.

FOCUS

THE ROOM I WANT TO FOCUS ON THE MOST THIS YEAR

Is our Kitchen- It’s Big, It’s Bad and it is currently UGLY!!

4 HOME PROJECTS I’D LIKE TO WORK ON

1.)    Paint the kitchen cabinets

2.)    Put up bead board on the lower half of the walls in the Kitchen

3.)    Lay new flooring in the kitchen

4.)    Put up a new back splash in the kitchen.

4 AREAS I WANT TO ORGANIZE

1.)    Our bedroom linens

2.)    The girls clothes

3.)    The girls toys

4.)    Kitchen cabinets

The next question was unexpected, but very cool in my opinion and it got me thinking.

TRADITIONS OR MEMORIES I WANT TO MAKE IN OUR HOME?

I want to start getting my daughters involved in cooking.  Teaching them family recipes and just spending good old quality Mommy and Daughter time.
