This past Saturday we visited my husband’s family farm to
see the newest additions to our Goat Family. My nephew raises Meat Goats for 4H
and my daughters get to enjoy his hard work by getting to spend time with the
babies.
The girls awoke with Joy in their hearts at the thought of
getting to see the new babies. They constantly asked all morning long, when we
were going to the Farm, finally after lunch I caved in. The girls were so
excited as we walked over to the Goat Barn. We were greeted by the three cutest
baby goats I had ever seen. One redish brown goat, one white goat and one black
and white goat. They are Adorable!
The redish brown goat and the black and white goat are
brother and sister and they were constantly trying to nurse. Aren’t they cute?
My oldest daughter Grace, loved being able to hold the sweet
babies. Grace has such a love for
animals. She is in her element when she is at the farm.
Sophia was so eager to be able to hold one of the babies,
but unfortunately she wasn’t able to catch one.
The redish brown goat was by far the most personable. He
would run, jump and show off for the girls.
The white baby goat was not as interested in us, as we were
in it. He constantly ran the other direction as my girls tried to catch him. Finally he
warmed up to us.
In the next few weeks these sweet babies will be joined by
even more newborns, since we still have about five momma goats who are still
pregnant. The girls are looking forward to the new babies and getting to play
with them. We can’t wait!
