Favorite Pins Friday

Hey Y'all! I am thankful that it is finally Friday. All week long, I have been one day ahead which can make for a very long week! Tonight I am hosting my first Mary & Martha Gathering. If you haven't heard about the company, you should defiantly check them out. They are owned by DaySpring and are a Christian based Home Decor company.

Since I am hosting a party tonight, I thought I would show you the products on my wishlist. I have pinned several of these to my Gifts board, because they would make wonderful gifts.

So, let's get started...

Their products are beautiful and affordable. I also love their companies message about opening up your home and no longer worrying about being perfect, but rather being present when you have guests.

If you are interested in any of these products and would like to learn more, please leave a comment below.

I hope you all have a blessed weekend!

Hostess Easter Gifts

Hello Friends! I hope you are all doing well. As the Easter holiday approaches, I am sure plans are being made for gatherings with family & friends.

If you are going somewhere for Easter brunch or dinner why not take your hostess a gift to say "Thank You".

When we open our homes to people there is always a sense of nervousness and a lot of planning that goes into it. Show your hostess some love and appreciation with a small token.

Here are a few of my favorite Easter and Spring themed gifts to give.

A small token of thanks never goes unnoticed or unappreciated. I hope you all have a blessed Holy Week and a wonderful Easter.

Favorite Pins Friday

Hey Guys! I hope you are all having a fantastic week. This weeks Favorite Pins Friday is going back to my heart and wanting to open my home to family and friends. The other day I was reading the story of when Jesus came to visit Mary and Martha and I was wondering how to find a balance between both of those woman. I don't want to get so caught up in preparations and plans that I forget to stop and enjoy the people who are in my life.

Just a couple days after reading the story, I came across a company owned by DaySpring called "Mary & Martha". My interest was totally peaked. They have some really beautiful home decor pieces that are scripture based. Here are a few of my favorites.

My favorite color combination has to Teal and Yellow. I just love it. These dishes are beautiful and fun at the same time.

The next item that I really loved was this sweet little honey jar. I have been looking for one of these for a little while now and I think this is just perfect!

In our house you can never have too many spoons. We are constantly going through them, but to me this one would be reserved for coffee.

This next item is one that I must get. I utter this prayer every morning and although it's words are simple, they are powerful.  I can already see this in my kitchen!

I think all of these pieces would be perfect additions to my kitchen and would be casual pieces that I could use in entertaining.

Don't forget to check out my Pinterest Page to see all my other recent pins.

Have a lovely weekend!

Opening Your Home

Recently, God has laid it on my heart to open my home to family and friends.
He has given me one of the most widely known verses to ponder
how I can use my home to serve the Lord.

Joshua 24:15

To be honest,  I have come up with every excuse imaginable. Some of the excuses have included: my home's not good enough, I need to complete a long list of home renovation projects before I invite anyone over, people will judge me if my house isn't immaculate.....and the list goes on and on.

So, why am I so hung up on opening my home? I honestly think it's the devil telling me that my home isn't good enough. He is worried of the good that might come of it, the relationships that could be strengthened and the new friendships that could be forged.
He is scared of the good that could come to God's Kingdom.

Well, I am saying enough is enough. I know that God has given me special gifts and talents and one of the ways I show people I care is by cooking for them.

I have decided that each month, I am going to strive to invite someone to our home. Sometimes, it might just be one or two people or sometimes it could be a large group.

The point is, I want to listen to who the Lord is asking me to reach out to.
