Wedge Booties

Lately, I've been obsessed with wedge booties. I have stalked them on Pinterest and saved a couple of my favorite outfits.

I went back and forth as to whether or not to purchase a set of Toms Wedge Booties or a knock off. After deliberating for a little while and the limited sizes of the Toms, I went with the knock off. I was actually able to get two pairs for the price of one Toms.

Disclaimer- Please don't get me wrong, I love Toms shoes and what Blake has done for people all around the globe. Had I made the decision to purchase Wedge Booties this past Fall, I defiantly would have gone the Toms route. It's just to late in the winter season and they don't have my size in designs that I really liked.

Wardrobe Wednesday- What I am currently loving!

I recently purchased a couple tops that I love and wanted to share them with you. The first is a gorgeous kimono by Umgee. The color is a dusty mint color with smokey purple and rust orange Indian head dresses in the design.

The other top is actually a tunic tank that I wear under the kimono. The color is beautiful and will be a perfect transition piece for fall. I love the chiffon band around the bottom of the tank and the extra feminine feel it gives.

Another thing that I love about both pieces is that they can either be dressed up or also look great when paired with jeans. That's how you know you have a great top.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Wardrobe Wednesdays- The Perfect Summer Sandal

Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to share with you my favorite summer sandal. Not only is this a very comfortable shoe, it's also very affordable.

I have owned this shoe for almost two months now and have worn them to work several times. I have also worn these shoes for 12 hours straight, much of which I was on my feet. They work perfect with capris, dresses, dress pants and jeans.

This is the Perfect Summer Sandal and I would highly recommend adding it to your wardrobe!

Wardrobe Wednesday- Spring Hair & Makeup

Hey Everyone! Happy Hump Day. Today's post is all about Spring Hair & Makeup. I recently stumbled upon a new to me YouTube Channel that I am really enjoying, it's called MakeupByAlli.

As I have mentioned in previous post, my family and I will be heading to the beach in a few weeks and I am itching to start with the beachy look. I have a great base tan going and now I am looking to switch up my hair and makeup.

One of the looks that I love is the beachy waves hair style. Alli actually has a great tutorial for it, which is how I originally found her. Here's a link to the video. This looks really simple and quick.

Another look that I love for spring is coral or peach colored makeup. Alli also has a great tutorial for that. She uses a lot more products then I do, but I can easily adapt this look to suite my routine.

My friend Heather and I are heading to the City this weekend and I plan on picking up a few items at Ulta that will go with both of these looks. To check out more videos of Allie's head over to her YouTube Channel and subscribe.

I hope you all have a lovely week! See you soon.

Wardrobe Wednesday- My Favorite Jewelry Line

Hey Y'all! Happy Wednesday. Today I wanted to share one of my favorite items in my wardrobe and that is my favorite jewelry line. I discovered Lenny & Eva over a year ago and I fell in love with their products instantly.

One of the best things about this jewelry line is the fact that the pieces are interchangeable. This allows for you to have a few key pieces in your wardrobe and have numerous looks. Here are some of my favorites. These are my personal photos and the pieces that I actually own. I will list out the items individually in each photo and link to where you can purchase these pieces.

On a side note any of these products or combinations would make beautiful Mother's Day presents. If you have a favorite jewelry line or an item you think I should feature in a future Wardrobe Wednesday, please leave a comment below.

Wardrobe Wednesday- Swimsuit Edition

Happy Hump Day! This week has been pretty busy and I missed posting on Monday. Sorry about that.

Let's get onto Wardrobe Wednesday. My family and I are heading to the beach in less then 2 months now and I have been busy preparing for the trip. My husband and daughters have never been to the beach, so we are all pretty excited.

I've been busy planning everyone's wardrobe for the trip and one of the most important pieces will be our swim suites. Here is the one that I choose. I purchased it online from Maurices, so I hope it works out. If not, I have plenty of time to send it back.

Now only 8 more weeks till vacation! I can't wait. Happy Wednesday!

Wardrobe Wednesdays- Polyvore Inspiration

One of my favorite ways to draw inspiration for my wardrobe is to turn to Polyvore. Polyvore is a community of members who can create boards for fashion, home décor and just about anything else you can think of. Like all other social media sites, you can "follow" members and see what new creations they make. One of my favorite Polyvore user to follow is Alexa Webb. You can find her profile here.

These are some of my favorite sets that Alexa has put together for Spring and Summer.

Spring is Near

Summer Sweater

Summertime

Neon Summer

I am so glad that the weather is starting to warm up, so I can enjoy capris and sandals again.  I love all the bright colors paired with neutrals.  I hope you will check out Alexa's polyvore profile, as well as mine.

Wardrobe Wednesday- The Perfect Tee

Hey Yall! I am glad you stopped by.

Today we are going to talk about one of the biggest staples in a girls wardrobe....The Perfect Tee. When you find it you know it. You want it in every single color. You can dress it up. You can dress it down. The texture, the feel and the comfort it gives you, makes it one of your favorite pieces.

Here is my favorite tee. I purchased it in this beautiful soft green color called Mojito. It is the softest shirt that I have ever owned. It has a burnwash texture which makes it a little more interesting than your basic tee.

Now that I have worn this shirt a couple of times, I am convinced that I need more. I went ahead and picked up four more, since they are offering a BOGO sale. I chose the following additional colors: Calypso Coral, Spring Rain, Heather Gray and Mango. I thought these would be perfect for our upcoming beach vacation.

I would highly suggest picking one of these shirts up. They won't disappoint. If you have a favorite tee that you would like me to try, please leave a comment below and I will check it out.

Have a lovely week!

Wardrobe Wednesday- Luggage

We are less then three months away to our trip to the beach and as a planner I am starting to make a "To Do List".

One item that has been on my brain lately is luggage. We will be gone for 7 days total and my goal is to only have to check one bag for our entire family. Am I crazy? I guess we will see.

Since I only want to check one bag, that means that I am going to have to make the most of our carry-on luggage. Here is what I have in mind for my luggage.

Carry-On - Grand Traveler in Ziggy Zinnia

Possible Personal Item- These are the two items that I have narrowed it down to.

Mailbag

Pleated Tote

This is a must have item for me a cover for my Flat Iron

This last item is perfect for taking to the beach. It's waterproof, so I don't have to worry about it getting wet or storing wet items in it. Not to mention it's only $8.00!

I love the bold print of the Ziggy Zinnia and the neutral black background. I am hoping that my sweet husband picked up on the hints I gave him that any of these items would make a wonderful Mother's Day gift. I guess we will see.

Wardrobe Wednesday- Spring Dresses

My oldest daughter always talks about what a Girly Girl I am, but I wasn't always that way. I remember a time in my youth that I was totally into the Grunge look. I lived in plaid and combat boots, but one item that I always made sure to have in my wardrobe was dresses.

Although my taste in dresses has changed over the years, I still look to them for the comfort and usually the fun print in the design.

Here are a couple of my favorite Spring Dresses.

Wardrobe Wednesday - Bold Pattern Blouses

I am in my early 30's and have a wonderful job as a Marketing Manager. I am one of those crazy lucky people who loves their job and since I work in such a creative field, I love color and bold patterns.

Lately, I have noticed that several designers are releasing boldly patterned colored blouses and I thought I would share of few of my favorites with you today. I hope you like them.

Wardrobe Wednesdays- The Fedora

This past weekend we went to one of my favorite stores World Market. My girls and I love the store and the wide variety of items that they have there. Well long story short, my girls found the hat rack, along with a mirror and I'm sure that you can tell where this story is going. We tried on every hat that they had on the rack. During this fun little exercise, I came across two hats that I really loved and they were both Fedoras.

Here they are...

A few weeks ago while roaming Pinterest, I came across an adorable summer outfit that included a fedora. I instantly pinned it to my Vacation Wardrobe board, where I am gathering inspiration for outfits to wear on our summer beach trip. I thought this one was just perfect!

So, when I found the two hats at World Market, I just new that I had to have one for my trip, but I couldn't decide which one I liked more. Now that I have had a couple days to think my hat options over, I am pretty sure I will just order both of them. Now, to find a dress similar to the one above and the perfect pair of sunglasses. I love shopping for vacation clothes, it helps the trip seem closer.

Wardrobe Wednesdays {Chiffon Kimono}

Hi Everyone,
This weeks Wardrobe Wednesday trend is the Chiffon Kimono.
I am a girl who loves to layer my clothing year round and this trend would
be a wonderful option for layering in spring and summer.

The first look that I have created is one that I could wear to work.
I love coral and black together and the gold accents just add an extra pop.

The next option is more casual and something I would wear on the weekend.

Here are a few reasons why I really like kimonos: they are extremely feminine and romantic, they are light and airy, while still provided coverage
and they usually come in beautiful prints.

I plan on purchasing the black and coral kimono right away!

If you have a trend that you love and think I should look at adding to my wardrobe,
 please leave a comment below.

Wardrobe Wednesdays

I thought it might be fun to do a weekly post that focuses on Fashion. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to shop and stay up on the latest trends, but as I am nearing my mid-30's and I'm not quite sure where I fit in. I'm also plus size, which can throw a curve ball in a times, when it comes to those adorable outfits you see on Pinterest.

So each Wednesday, I will post an outfit or trend that I am really inspired by and tell you how I plan to integrate that into my wardrobe.

Let's get started, shall we...

Peasant Tops- How do I love thee, let me count the ways: they are comfortable, hide a multitude of sins and usually they have texture to them, so you don't have to worry about ironing them.

Here are a few of my current favorites

Both of these outfits are perfect examples of how I plan on integrating Peasant Tops into my wardrobe. I actually own both of these tops, so this shouldn't be too hard.

I'd love to hear a trend that you are currently loving, that I should look at for a future edition of Wardrobe Wednesdays. If you have one, just leave it in the comment section below.
