When I was a teenager I didn't appreciate my sleepy, Mayberry town, where everyone knows who you are and who you belong to. But, now...I find peace in all of it. I find solice in going to work everyday with my husband at the same compay, working with people who have known me since I was born and still remember my mom dressing me in frilly, petticoat filled dresses each Sunday for Sunday School. Dropping my oldest daughter off at school with good wholesome people, who's families would give you the shirt off their own back if needed. I love my town!
I read a quote the other day and it has really stuck with me. It hit me deep. I realized that this is what I long for now.
